Prepaid Roaming what is it
Airtel prepaid roaming service enables you to go abroad and use your mobile phone to make/receive voice calls and send/receive SMS (depending on foreign operators’ capacity). All Airtel Prepaid subscribers (excluding Shomriddhi, Shomriddhi Basic & ERS SIM) with IR subscription would be eligible to use Airtel Prepaid Roaming services.
Airtel’s Prepaid Roaming service enables prepaid subscribers to avail prepaid services whilst travelling abroad.

* No subscription fee for activation of prepaid roaming.
* Prepaid roaming account can be recharged through an authorized person and email request from home & abroad

Note:
Outbound Prepaid roaming services can only be used in selected international networks depending on Airtel’s prepaid coverage list.
how to use
Prepaid International Roaming services can be availed by the subscribers who meet the following criteria:
Eligibility Conditions:
- Airtel prepaid connection with ISD facility
- International Credit Card (own name)/ RFCD account/ FC Account
- Valid International Passport
- Initial deposit amount for prepaid roaming activation is USD 25
How to recharge a prepaid roaming account?
- Airtel can recharge the amount by charging subscribers international credit card / RFCD account/ FC Account upon receiving a recharge request from an authorized person.
- Airtel can recharge the amount by charging your international credit card / RFCD account/ FC Account upon receiving a recharge request from an authorized email address Recharge request through email should be sent to ircare@bd.airtel.com
- Minimum prepaid roaming account recharge amount is 03 USD and Maximum prepaid roaming account recharge amount is 500 USD.
- The recharge currency would be in USD only when charging the Prepaid roaming subscribers
Procedure for International/Local Call and International/Local SMS while roaming abroad with Airtel prepaid SIM:
For making any international/ local outgoing call while roaming:
Dial the international access code (+/00), the country code, area code for fixed phone or mobile code (without leading zero) before calling.
Example: if you are calling a fixed phone in Canberra Australia you will dial

or
0061 2 XXXX XXXX
For calling back to Bangladesh while roaming:
Dial the international access code (+/00), the country code, area code for fixed phone or mobile code (without leading zero) before calling.
Example: if you are calling a mobile phone in Bangladesh you will dial

or
0088016XXXXXXXX
Note: Subscriber can receive voice call/ SMS from anywhere in the world while roaming abroad.
Documents
To subscribe to Airtel Prepaid Roaming Services, you also need to submit certain documents to Airtel which are as follows:
- Duly filled subscription form
- Duly filled authorization form for prepaid roaming account recharge.
- Two passport size photographs
- Photocopy of valid International Passport (first 7 pages)
- Photocopy of valid International Credit Card/ RFCD Account/ FC Account
- Authorization letter for the customer representative (with 1 passport size photograph of the authorized person).
