To give more freedom in SMS, airtel introduces a new bundle of SMS for it’s prepaid subscribers. All prepaid subscribers could buy 500 SMS only at the cost of Tk.5 (+VAT.

How to Get the Bundle SMS
To get the bundle SMS, subscriber needs to type Y and send SMS to 4000. Immediately after that, Tk.5+VAT will be charged from main account and s/he will get 500 SMS to his/her bonus account (DA7). The subscriber will also get the SMS notification for his successful subscription.

Validity
The subscriber will get the validity of a full calendar day after the subscription date. For example, if any subscriber activates the bundle on 7th Oct at 10 am, his/her bundle SMS validity will be till 8th Oct 11:59 pm.

Eligibility
Currently prepaid subscribers of the following options will only be eligible for this bundle:

1. kotha
2. adda
3. golpo

Reminders

1. Subscription SMS will be charge free.
2. Balance of SMS and it’s validity could be checked through dialing *778*7#.
3. These SMS could be used for on-net SMS only.
4. The bundle SMS could be used at any time of day.
5. If there is any previous validity of bonus account, it will be rescheduled after new subscription.

Create your very own Airtel email id and send & receive emails from your Airtel mobile.

Creating your email ID

To create your mobile id, click on:
Airtel menu> Messaging> Mobile email > Sign up for Inbox > Subscribe

Upon successful creation, your Airtel email id will be 016xxxxxxxx@myairtel.mobi After your id has been created, your friends & colleagues will be able to send emails directly to your phone. Whenever you receive an email to your Airtel account, you will be notified by an SMS: Follow the simple instructions given in the SMS to retrieve your email to your phone. If you want to cancel your email ID at any time, you can do so anytime by clicking on “Unsubscribe”

Sending emails

You can also send emails to any account from your Airtel email id.
Click on: Mobile Email > Draft email

Enter the email address of the person you want to email, type your message, and send it on its way.

International MMS

multimedia messaging service (MMS) is an exciting way to share your special moments such as birthdays, weddings and holiday pictures with your loved ones residing abroad. You can now send MMS to sends/receives MMS to/from another subscriber of foreign operator (located in another country) network.

Activating MMS

In order to enjoy MMS, please go into the airtel menu in your handset and click on the following options-
airtel menu > self service > MMS / GPRS > Subscribe
Soon you will receive an SMS confirming successful activation of MMS services.
Sending MMS
You can send and receive real photos, color pictures, audio clips, text or a combination of the three with your MMS mobile to another MMS enabled mobile number.

Just follow these simple steps given below to send a MMS

• Go to your message menu in your handset
• Select Multimedia msgs (in some handsets, this will appear as Picture Message)
• Select Create message.
• Type in your text message. You can enter up to 1000 alphabets. Then select Options.
• Select Insert Image to attach a picture from your Phone Gallery
• Open the Images file in your Phone Gallery to select the picture that you want to attach. Do this by highlighting the picture and selecting Options followed by Insert.
• You will see a little black box at the top of your phone screen indicating that your picture has been successfully attached to your text message. Select Options again
  • If you want to send the message to a mobile phone number, select Send to number. If you want to send it to an email address, then choose Send to email
    (b) As a last step, enter your recipient's mobile phone number and proceed to send by selecting SEND

Size of an MMS: Maximum message size that you can send/receive is 100 KB.

You will be connected to a voice recording system. Follow the simple voice instructions to send your Voice SMS.

To send a text to an international number, enter the international access code + (or 00) along with the country code followed by your desired number.
