Warid distributes school bags to under-privileged children

Warid distributed more than five hundreds school bags among the under privileged students of Khan Hasan Adorsho Govt. Primary School at Kathalbagan in the city.
Chief executive officer (CEO) of Warid, Muneer Farooqui distributed the bags among the students as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative under which the fastest growing telecom operator in the country decided to donate 12,000 school bags in phases among underprivileged school children across the country.

The school bags are manufactured by utilising the used materials of billboards of Warid under a unique project "Waste to Asset" ushered by the mobile operator to keep the environment clean and at the same time to extend a helping hand to under-privileged students in order to bring out their hidden talent through formal education.

Explaining the reason for launching the 'Waste to Asset', Farooqui said conservation of environment is important but the preservation of a secure future for the children of today is also important for a better Bangladesh.
