The “Finance” section in your Airtel menu allows you to get instant news & information on forex rates, bullion rates, stock prices & business happenings across the globe with a few simple clicks of your keypad.
Use the Finance menu to keep yourself updated on what’s happening in the financial world. Use the menu to receive:
- the latest financial information
- stock market information
- currency conversion rates
a. Financial Information
The Finance menu gives you information on a variety of financial issues:
- Click on “news” to get breaking news on both national and international finances
- Up-to-date information on forex rates, stocks and bullion rates from the market
- Top financial stories from around the globe
b. Stock market information
You have three options to choose from for receiving stock information:
Stocks Index:
Click on “Stocks Index” to receive the day’s stock market Index from the Dhaka and Chittagong Stock exchange
Top Stocks
Get a list of the day’s top 10 stocks in the market
Stock Quote
You can also find out the stock values of different listed companies in the stock exchange from the “Finance” menu. Click on “Stock Quote” and key in your company’s name to receive the stock value of your desired company.
c. Currency conversion
You can also find out the current exchange rates of Bangladeshi taka to foreign currencies using the “Currency Converter” in your Finance menu. Click on the currencies listed in the menu- USD, Euro, Pound & Yen- to find out the buying & selling value in relation to the taka.
If you want to find out the exchange rate of an “unlisted” currency, you can do that using the “More options” menu. However, you will first need to find out a short code for the particular currency you are interested in.
First, click on “Search Currency Codes” .and search for this code either “alphabetically” of by “country”.
For example, if you want to find out the exchange rate of INDIAN RUPEE, then click on “country” and type in “INDIA”. You will shortly receive an SMS with your desired code.
Now go back to the “More options” menu and enter this code. The exchange rate you have requested will be shortly sent to you over SMS.
